The Dougherty siblings, who are accused of shooting at police and robbing a Georgia bank, were captured on Wednesday in Colorado. The three fugitives were caught after they crashed their car into a highway barrier during a chase, Colorado State Patrol say. They were found near Walsenburg, Colo. Wednesday morning.

NATO Killed Taliban Insurgents Who Shot Down Chinook Helicopter

NATO forces killed the Taliban insurgents who shot down a Chinook helicopter on Saturday, which resulted in the death of 38 Afghan and American troops, to inlcude 22 SEAL Team 6 members. The commander of U.S. and coalition forces in Afghanistan said coalition forces used a precision airstrike to kill the insurgents involved in the Aug. 6 downing of the helicopter.

London Riots: 300 Volunteers Clean Up After Three Nights of Unrest

More than 300 volunteers took to the streets of London to clean up the remains of vehicles destroyed in riots in the north following three nights of unrest. About 16,000 police will be out patrolling the streets to prevent a fourth night of unrest, which has spread to Manchester, northern England's biggest city. Rioters in Manchester reportedly set fire to a property in Salford, west of the center, and a clothing retail store in the main shopping area, Greater Manchester Police said.

Warren Jeffs to Serve Life Sentence for Sex With Child Brides

Warren Jeffs, a polygamist leader, was sentenced to life imprisonment after being convicted of sexual assault charges that he claimed two young girls as his brides. A Texas jury sentenced Jeffs on Tuesday handed down a sentence of life in prison plus 20 years, bringing to an end the trial of the controversial religious leader. Jeffs became leader of the Fundamentalist Latter Day Saints, or FLDS, when his father died in 2002.

Police Identify Gunman in Copley Rampage as Michael Hance

Police said Hance shot his girlfriend first inside a home on Sunday in Copley, a small quiet town about 40 miles kilometers south of Cleveland. Copley Township has about 14,000 people. He then went next door where he shot her brother and four neighbors. After that, Hance chased two people through several yards and shot one of them before entering a house to shoot the final victim.

London Riots Continue for Third Night, Violence Escalates in Poor Neighborhoods

The riots in London moved into a third day as violence continue to escalate following the death of a 29-year-old in Tottenham last week. Authorities have said the Tottenham riot started at dusk on Saturday when approximately 120 people marched on the police station to express anger over the death of Mark Duggan, a father of four, on Thursday. Duggan was shot after police stopped the minicab he was driving in that day, according to media reports.
