One of the most-anticipated makeup launches of the year is here – the Supreme x Pat McGrath Labs MatteTrance lipstick, but it is already sold out.

The one-off vibrant red lip color went on sale on Thursday at 11 a.m. EDT, offering fans a chance to try the beauty collaboration with the makeup icon and fashion skater label Supreme. The sought-after lipstick apparently sold out in just seconds though, leaving many Supreme and McGrath fans in the lurch.

Social media users were quick to point out the MatteTrance lipstick sold out almost instantly with one Twitter user saying, “Can someone tell me how the supreme x pat McGrath lipstick sold out I’m not even a minute! I was on the website at 11!! It’s not fair that bots take all the stock on the site! Fumin.”

The lipstick was available in one shade only – Supreme – a limited-edition red lip color – and was priced at $38. It is unclear at press time if the lipstick will be offered by Supreme again in the future.

Resellers on eBay are now offering the product on pre-order with items listed for upwards of $199 each.

McGrath, who has developed a full makeup collection, showcased the new hot red lipstick on Instagram, noting all the cultural references she used to come up with the formulation and color. The lipstick stays true to the notable Supreme red color and was described on the McGrath Labs website as having a “groundbreaking formulation and signature high-intensity hydrating pigment.”

McGrath Labs said the collaboration with Supreme is the first in its 26-year history, and the red color of the lipstick was designed exclusively for the fashion label, which has a cult following.
