'Return To Hogwarts:' HBO Max Drops Poster Featuring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint

HBO Max took to Twitter to share the first poster of "Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts" featuring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, along with other cast members.

In the reunion special poster, besides the three leading stars, seven more cast members featured in the background including Tom Felton, James and Oliver Phelps, Alfred Enoch, Matthew Lewis, Evanna Lynch and Bonnie Wright.

In the center of the photo, Radcliffe, 32, could be seen wearing a formal blue suit with a brown t-shirt while Grint, 33, wore a casual green t-shirt that has a Christmas vibe to the photo. Watson, 31, on the other hand, donned a maroon coat with a matching belt around her waist.

All men in the background wore formal attire while Felton, 34, wore a bright brown jacket on top of a black t-shirt.

"A moment 20 years in the making. Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: #ReturnToHogwarts is streaming on HBO Max New Year’s Day," the official Twitter handle wrote in the caption Wednesday evening.

Fans took to the comments section to share their reaction. While many fans were excited to see the reunion special, others were waiting for the trailer as HBO Max promised to release on Wednesday.

"So the trailer is…. You know that’s what we are all waiting for… not another picture…," one of the fans wrote.

A fan noted that the teaser trailer has already been released on Dec. 6, to which the fan replied, "That’s not though. This was already released prior to the statement yesterday of a trailer being released tho."

Another fan noted that they are ready for the reunion special and HBO Max replied, "Good. The Hogwarts Express is approaching the station."

The cast members will celebrate the first movie of the franchise, "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone," which was released on Nov. 16, 2001.

Watson took to Instagram on Nov. 16 and said, "I am proud not just of what we as a group contributed as actors to the franchise but also as the children that became young adults that walked that path."

"Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts" is all set to premiere on Jan. 1, 2022, on HBO Max.
