'Re:Zero - Starting Life in Another World' Season 2, Part 2: Promo Trailer, Spoilers And More

The second cour of "Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World" Season 2 is coming out in January 2021. The official preview trailer for the second part teases Subaru’s resolve to take down Roswaal.

When the anime returns with the final half of the second season, Subaru is ready to take the risk. The trailer opens with Roswaal observing that Subaru has still not sharpened his resolve enough.

Roswaal says that Subaru has already faced several hardships that arose inside the Sanctuary. However, those problems are not restricted to the Sanctuary alone.

As Roswaal speaks, the trailer shows a montage of all the threats Subaru faced in the first part of the second season. Roswaal reveals that he was the one who ordered the siege on the mansion. He goes on to give him a choice and once Subaru makes that choice, he can never take it back.

Subaru looks shocked but toward the end of the trailer, he announces he is ready to take the risk. Subaru declares their “wishes will be their chips.”

“Natsuki Subaru, an ordinary high school student, is on his way home from the convenience store when he finds himself transported to another world. As he's lost and confused in a new world where he doesn't even know left from right, the only person to reach out to him was a beautiful girl with silver hair. Determined to repay her somehow for saving him from his own despair, Subaru agrees to help the girl find something she's looking for...”

"Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World" Season 2, Part 2, Episode 1 is scheduled to air Wednesday, Jan. 6.

The cast of the anime includes Yūsuke Kobayashi as Subaru Natsuki, Rie Takahashi as Emilia, Nobuhiki Okamoto as Garfiel Tinsel, Aimi Tanaka as Ryuzu Birma, Maaya Sakamoto as Echidna, Rie Murakawa as Ram, Mamiko Noto as Elsa Granhilte, Koehei Amasaki as Otto, Inori Minase as Rem, Yumi Uchiyama as Puck, Satomi Arai as Beatrice, Takehito Koyasu as Roswaal, Yui Horie as Felix and Kaori Nazuka as Frederica Baumann.
