Lili Reinhart, one of the lead stars of the CW’s “Riverdale,” has openly admitted that she’s battling mental problems and she’s now undergoing therapy to address them.

Last Friday, the 22-year-old actress took to Instagram Stories to open up about her condition to her fans and followers. In a lengthy post, she encouraged her fans to seek treatment like she did if they are also struggling with their mental health, as first spotted by Us Weekly.

“I have anxiety and depression. And today I started therapy again,” she wrote, adding that this marks the start of her journey to realizing self-love. She then told her fans that they should never feel ashamed if they are in the same situation because everyone is vulnerable to suffering depression.

“Therapy is never something to feel ashamed of. Everyone can benefit from seeing a therapist,” Reinhart wrote. She added that people should not suffer in silence and they shouldn’t be embarrassed to seek medical help.

Reinhart’s move to open up about her anxiety and depression problems came a day after she celebrated Valentine’s Day with boyfriend Cole Sprouse, 26. The couple appeared to have shared an intimate date as shown in her latest Instagram post.

In a snap she shared on the social networking platform, Reinhart is seen looking intently in Sprouse’s eyes. The two also appear to be leaning in for a kiss on a rooftop. Reinhart expressed her happiness with her beau in the caption by writing, “You make me very happy. Happy Valentine’s Day, my love.”

Last April, Reinhart opened up to Seventeen magazine and revealed that many people judged her for not trying to socialize that much and not stepping out of her comfort zone. However, she admitted back then that her behavior was mainly due to her social anxiety.

She also revealed to the magazine that she struggled back in high school because of it. But she’s thankful that she managed to navigate all those years with the help of a therapist and her close group of friends.

Meanwhile Sprouse echoed Reinhart’s sentiments on mental health when he posted a photo of the latter on his Instagram account. In the snap, the actress is seen looking down while touching the collar of her red coat. The former Disney Channel child star captioned the pic, “Quite actually the only thing keeping me sane is [Lili].”

Reinhart and Sprouse, who play Betty Cooper and Jughead Jones on “Riverdale,” first sparked dating rumors in July 2017 after they were seen kissing at a Comic Con party in San Diego. The two have since become very romantic, but they remain very private about their relationship when not filming for the show.
