Since Samsung has released its Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge smartphones, the rumor mill is now talking about the purported features of the Samsung Galaxy Note 6. It will be launched to replace the Galaxy Note 5 from 2015.

Display And Gear VR Support

Early speculations have revealed that Samsung may increase the display size on the Galaxy Note 6. The predecessor models like the Galaxy Note 5 and Note 4 feature 5.7-inch display, but rumors have it that the Galaxy Note 6 will be coming with a 5.8-inch Quad HD display.

Samsung is now aggressively marketing its Gear VR headset as it is offering it free for Galaxy S7 preorder customers. If the Galaxy Note 6 arrives with support or 4K resolution, it will be able to deliver topnotch gameplay, video playback and image viewing experience, Android Central reported.

Snapdragon 820 and Exynos 8890 SoC Options, 256 GB UFS 2.0

The Note 6 is expected to be available in two chipset variants, one powered by Snapdragon 820 and the other fueled by Exynos 8890 (or its upgraded edition). In the previous month, the South Korean tech giant had announced its new 256 GB Universal Flash Storage (UFS) 2.0 that supports respective reading and sequential writing speeds of 850 MB/s and 260 Mb/s.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is expected to feature it as the company has started the mass production of its new 256 GB UFS 2.0 storage, Fud Zilla reported. Speculations also indicate that the low-light camera of 12-megapixel that was introduced on Galaxy S7 models will be also available on the Galaxy Note 6.

Galaxy Note 6 To Include Galaxy S7 Features

Rumors also suggest that some of the Galaxy S7 features will be also available on the Galaxy Note 6 such as water-resistant chassis, support for microSD card and wireless charging. Samsung is yet to introduce a USB Type-C port on its smartphones. The Note 6 is pegged to arrive with the new USB-C slot. It is expected to packed with a large battery of 3600 mAh to 4000 mAh.

Galaxy Note 6 Release Date

Last year, the Galaxy Note 5 was launched in August. Hence, the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 release date is predicted to happen in August this year. It is likely to come preinstalled with Android Marshmallow OS as the upcoming Android N OS is expected to release in October this year.
