Samsung MWC invite Samsung

Samsung will make an appearance at Mobile World Congress in February and is expected to announce a new product during a press conference at the trade show. Rumors suggest the product may be a refresh to its premium tablet line, the Galaxy Tab S3. A recent leak detailed the tablet may feature a thin frame and Android 7.0 Nougat.

Other features may include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip, a 9.6-inch 2048x1536 display on a 5.6mm frame, 4GB of RAM and 12-megapixel main camera and 5-megapixel front camera and LTE and Wi-Fi-only connectivity options.

The press conference will take place Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. CET (1 p.m. EST) in Barcelona and will be live streamed at Samsung’s website. The invite sent to press Tuesday evening teases the Galaxy Tab S3.

While Samsung is not expected to unveil the Galaxy S8 smartphone until late March in New York City, the manufacturer may give press a preview of the device during the MWC event.

The manufacturer previewed its Gear S2 smartwatch during the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ launch in August 2015. The device was later unveiled at IFA in September 2015.

There may also be models of the Galaxy S8 displayed at MWC; however, this has not yet been confirmed.

The Galaxy S8 is expected to have no home button and its fingerprint scanner on the back panel. While the device is expected to come in 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch display models, its frames may actually be smaller than that of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge respectively.
