Sarah Ferguson recently reached out to her thousands of followers on Instagram.

Earlier this week, the mom of two uploaded a short video on her social media account to raise awareness regarding the number of children around the world who have not received any form of education.

The Duchess of York, who is actively involved with the charity Street Child UK, revealed that 121 million children across the globe have not received a formal education. Ferguson encouraged everyone to help out and provide opportunities for children to learn.

In the video, it was revealed that Street Child UK has already helped 200,000 get access to quality education throughout the past 10 years. However, more donations are needed to help the millions of people who have not received any form of education.

According to Ferguson’s post, all public donations to Street Child UK’s Count Me In campaign will be matched by the UK government. After posting the clip, several critics slammed the Duchess of York for only showcasing children from Africa or of African descent when there are also a lot of uneducated children in other parts of the world.

“It would have been more appropriate to show that the 121 million uneducated children are not all of the African descents,” one person wrote.

“Yes, I agree. I live in Australia and kids here need help with education too,” another person commented.

But there were also some royal fans that showed their support for Ferguson’s efforts. One of them said that people should stop looking at the children’s skin color and instead focus on the real message of the video, which is to provide quality education to those who do not have access to it.

Another person asked the Duchess of York to provide information on how and where to donate money. One royal fan also praised Prince Andrew’s ex-wife for her dedication and all the work she has done together with Street Child UK.
