Sarah Ferguson’s thank you cards for her recent birthday have just been released.

Alahna Kindred, a journalist for Express, dubbed the notes as unusual due to a surprising element. Ferguson’s thank you notes feature a gift tag that is designed with a bright pink dianthus. This is a royal first because other thank you cards sent out for different occasions only feature a note and a photo.

“Thank you so much for your birthday greetings. It was most kind of you to remember my birthday. I take great pleasure in sending you my best wishes,” Ferguson’s note read.

The mom of two’s thank you cards also included a photo of her taken on May 19 at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding. In the snap, Ferguson is waving to the massive crowd that was waiting for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s arrival.

Weeks ago, Ferguson also sent out thank you cards to those who congratulated Princess Eugenie on her wedding to Jack Brooksbank. The doting mom’s cards featured a photo of the royal couple taken by Alex Bramall.

“Thank you so much for your congratulations and warm wishes for the future happiness of Eugenie and Jack. Their wedding was the most fabulous day. Eugenie looked so beautiful and Jack so handsome; the wedding service was a wonderful celebration of love. We are so happy to welcome Jack into our family, he is the most marvelous person and enriches Eugenie’s life. They are such a developed couple. Thank you for your kindness and loyalty over the years,” the note read.

Ferguson’s ex-husband, Prince Andrew, also sent out his own set of thank you cards following Princess Eugenie’s wedding. He also broke royal tradition by including candid selfies of his family in the notes.

“A thought, a word, a deed. Nothing is more special, a warm embrace, a smile that goes the extra mile, somebody, somewhere took heed,” Prince Andrew wrote alongside four adorable photos.
