Sarah Ferguson’s just teased her Christmas plans for this year and said that she won’t be spending the holiday with the rest of the royal family in Queen Elizabeth II’s Sandringham estate.

Ferguson’s daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie will be celebrating Christmas with their grandparents and relatives. Prince Andrew will most likely be with his two daughters on a special day. This means that Ferguson and Prince Andrew won’t be spending Christmas together.

While speaking with Daily Mail, the Duchess of York said that she will just watch Ben-Hur on Dec. 25. She will also watch the news and see how her daughters are doing.

When asked how she felt about not celebrating Christmas with her daughters, ex-husband, and the royal family, Ferguson indirectly said that she didn’t mind. After all, she’s grateful that Her Majesty adores her daughters and wants to be with them on Christmas Day.

“So I am happy to share them both in August and at Christmas,” she said (via Express).

In related news, Ferguson also made headlines after she opened up about her lifelong battle with weight gain. The Duchess said that it all started after her parents got divorced, and she was destroyed from feelings of guilt.

“When my parents divorced, I didn’t have a parent who was telling me the truth. I found out in 1974 through a newspaper what was happening. And I felt, I believed, that I had done something wrong. I think it’s really important that children don’t feel that. The fact that we divorced had absolutely nothing to do with the girls. But I remember thinking I was responsible for my parents splitting up – because I’d cut my hair. And because I wasn’t good enough. And that was when I began to comfort eat, and why I’ve had a weight problem all my life,” she said (via Express).

Ferguson also said that comfort eating caused a vicious circle with her weight because she beat herself up with every pound that she would gain.
