  • Sarah Hyland shared an update on her wedding plans with Wells Adams
  • She said she is "not jealous" of Riz Ahmed, who recently got married
  • She gushed that she has "love in quarantine"

Sarah Hyland has opened up about her "love in quarantine" and shared that she is not jealous of Riz Ahmed, who revealed in January that he secretly married novelist Fatima Farheen Mirza.

During an appearance on "Live From E!: Countdown to the Golden Globes," the "Modern Family" actress gave an update on her and "Bachelor in Paradise" alum Wells Adams' wedding, which was supposed to take place in August 2020. They decided to postpone the ceremony in June last year due to coronavirus concerns.

Hyland gave a thumbs up to Riz Ahmed's red carpet fashion saying, "He can do no wrong in my eyes."

She also spoke about the "Venom" actor's recent marriage. "I have love in quarantine," Hyland shared, jokingly adding, "I just don't know when I'm actually going to get married in quarantine, so I'm not jealous of him at all."

Hyland and Adams have been dating since October 2017 and got engaged two years into their relationship.

Last month, the "Bachelorette" alum shared that he and Hyland have considered tying the knot in a courthouse if COVID-19 rages on. "I'm really pushing for Vegas—powder blue suits, Elvis officiant," Adams joked on the "Click Bait With Bachelor Nation" podcast.

Adams explained that they are unable to hold a ceremony as long as the pandemic continues as Hyland is a "transplant recipient," which makes her "immunocompromised."

"We have to be super careful about the pandemic, more so than most people our age," he said. "We had to push it the first time around, that was tough. The thought was to push it to this year."

Hyland paid tribute to what would've been her wedding day in August last year by posting romantic photos with Adams.

"A couple, a pandemic, & a postponed wedding: A series. We were supposed to get married today. Instead... we took pictures and drank wine. I love you to Pluto & back," she captioned the photos on Instagram.

Meanwhile, Ahmed, 38, revealed his new marital status on Louis Theroux’s “Grounded” podcast on Jan. 11. The actor said that he chose to stay in California after shooting a film there in late 2020 because his “wife’s family” is from the Bay Area.

He didn't share the date of his wedding, but said, “Not very long, actually. It’s the first time I’ve ever mentioned it in an interview. So, congratulations on this incredibly exciting scoop.”

“I mean, I guess I don’t really feel it’s generally that relevant, so I don’t delve into my personal life or my dating history or even family life much," he added.

Ahmed said the “main reason” he has chosen to talk about his personal life more recently is because he believes people weren’t taking the pandemic seriously. Two of his relatives died from the virus in 2020. “I felt like talking about it and saying, ‘Hey, look, this is a real thing. It’s affected me and my family,” he said.

Later, Ahmed disclosed the name of his wife during an appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon."
