Scheana Shay Talks About Postpartum Hair Loss After Receiving Negative Comments: 'My Biggest Insecurity'

Scheana Shay has revealed she's been struggling with postpartum hair loss since she welcomed her baby girl, Summer Moon, with her partner, Brock Honey Davies, in April.

The 36-year-old reality TV star took to Instagram Story on Wednesday to share a photo of her with "Vanderpump Rules" co-stars and wrote a lengthy caption explaining her hair loss. Her post was in response to the negative comments she received following Tuesday's episode.

"To everyone who has commented on my hairline tonight: this was already my biggest insecurity and legit the only thing I usually would facetune," Shay wrote. "After having a baby, I have postpartum hair loss..."

Shay also said her hair is slowly coming back, but she's still "pumping milk every 3 hours since Summer stopped latching." She clarified that she isn't sure if her loss is related to breastfeeding but claimed, "It's happening to me."

"My hair was coming out in chunks," she said, adding: "Next time, think before you comment."

A Twitter user shared a screenshot of Shay's Instagram Story along with the celeb's photo.

It was not the first time for the reality star to open up about her struggles after giving birth on April 26. Last month, she talked about having a hard time getting back to her fitness routine.

"It's hard because I struggled for the first four months," Shay told Page Six. "Took quite a few months of slowly getting back into workouts and everything to feel good and confident again."

Shay also took to Instagram on April 28 to share a photo of herself in the hospital, along with her baby and partner. She revealed in the said post that she had problems during the birthing process.

"Almost 24 hours after being induced, my blood pressure was extremely elevated. I was diagnosed with preeclampsia, which has now turned into HELLP syndrome," she wrote in the caption. "My doctor said I was lucky, and we caught this just in time to treat."

Shay has been a regular on "Vanderpump Rules" since 2013. She also appeared in a TV series, "Overserved with Lisa Vanderpump," and was last seen in movies, "Mouthpiece" and "Wedding Day," which came out in 2016 and 2012, respectively.

Shay was married to Michael Shay from 2014 to 2017. News about her dating Davies broke out in November 2019.
