The Rose family is back for their sixth and final season of “Schitt’s Creek,” and PopTV released the first teaser trailer, where we get a good look at the family in what looks like wedding getup. The bittersweet trailer shows the family happily dance in front of the Rosebud Motel but gives us the impression of finality.

Johnny Rose (Eugene Levy) escorts his family through the grass in a white tux, holding his wife Moira Rose (Catherine O’Hara), who wears an expectedly eccentric silver and black dress, and Alexis (Annie Murphy) wears a white bridesmaids dress.

All eyes are on David (Dan Levy) and Patrick (Noah Reid), though, as they wear matching tuxedos and share a kiss. Episode 13 of Season 5 showed David and Patrick go on a hike together that ended with Patrick proposing to David in an emotional tear-jerking scene.

The last episode of that season had Patrick tell his parents that, not only is he gay, but that he’s engaged to his business partner. The season ended on a happy note as the parents both approved and we were left looking forward to the wedding day.

This final season may just focus entirely on the wedding of these two, save for one other end left loose near the end of Season 5.

A little tension mounted nearing the end of last season when Johnny had a health scare in the form of a heart attack. During the moments of bliss where Patrick and David became engaged, the thought of Johnny having a life-threatening condition was still in the air. It’s unknown if this will play into anything going forward into Season 6.

“Schitt’s Creek” season 6 will premiere Tuesday, Jan. 7.
