Will “Scream Queens” get a second season? Star Jamie Lee Curtis promised fans on the E red carpet that the horror comedy would return to Fox next season in the event she wins a Golden Globe Award Sunday night.

Curtis is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series-Musical or Comedy for her role as Dean Cathy Munsch on “Scream Queens.” She’s nominated alongside Rachel Bloom (“Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”), Julia Louis-Dreyfus (“Veep”), Gina Rodriguez (“Jane the Virgin”) and Lily Tomlin (“Grace and Frankie”).

Speaking with Giuliana Rancic on the red carpet before the awards show, Curtis, 57, revealed she was “completely surprised” when she found out she was nominated this year. As for what a win would mean to her? The actress said it would mean a second season for “Scream Queens.”

Curtis acknowledged the cast, crew and “hundreds of people who worked so hard to make [the show] funny and great,” adding that a win would be a “guaranteed” second season. “I would feel really good,” she said.
