But that wasn’t the only photo that Rossum shared from her director’s chair. The actress also posted an image of herself at a script reading alongside Showtime president David Nevins and the show’s executive producer John Wells.

“These two fellows are some of my greatest support. Thank you for your belief in me,” she shared her gratitude. “Here we go!”

Rossum will direct episode 4 of the forthcoming Season 7 installment, titled “I Am a Storm.” And from the powerful title given to the episode, we have a strange feeling that Rossum’s upcoming installment will be as mighty as a hurricane.

Rossum’s co-stars also shared their excitement for the actress’ directorial debut when they posted photos of the Showtime star prepping for the filming of her episode. “So proud of our girl!” Steve Howey, who plays Kev on the series, captioned an image. Shanola Hampton, who portrays Vee, shared a similar statement with her own photo of Rossum beginning her directorial journey.

Audiences can catch the Season 7 premiere of “Shameless” when the show returns to Showtime on Sunday, Oct. 2, at 9 p.m. EDT.
