Spain's biggest cryptocurrency exchange, Bit2Me, listed Shiba Inu (SHIB) Tuesday, giving a major push to the most popular meme token which has already been accepted by several firms around the world.

Shiba Inu has been making headlines this year with its NFT collection, Shiboshi, and its decentralized ShibaSwap.

"At last we add one of the cryptocurrencies that you have asked us the most. Although its initial goal was to dethrone Dogecoin, the first meme currency, SHIBA has become one of the 20 largest cryptos in the world," Bit2Me exchange said in a tweet.

Data from CoinMarketCap shows that the token is currently ranked at #13 and is trading at a price of $0.00003376. The token's market cap is $18.6 billion as of 2:34 a.m. ET, up by nearly 4% in the last 24 hours.

Shiba Inu has been on a roll. Electronics retailer Newegg said it will accept SHIB. So did luxury eyewear brand Nerdy Frames and AMC Theatres.

Furthermore, the lead developer of the SHIB token, Shytoshi Kusama, announced that Shiba Inu is embarking upon a journey of gaming and that the Vice President of Technology at Activision has joined the team, overseeing the development of the Shiba Inu NFT game.

SHIB has been going through a bearish phase recently. The token is off nearly 61% from the all-time high on Oct. 28.
