Sophie Turner is back to signing on roles after a two-year hiatus, and she has motherhood to thank for making her a better actor.

During a recent conversation with The Wrap's "UnWrapped" podcast, the "Game of Thrones" actress, 26, revealed how being a mother to daughter Willa—whom she shares with husband Joe Jonas—has given her a different "perspective" while taking on new projects.

The British actress will return to the screen in HBO Max’s “The Staircase,” premiering May 5. "The concept of family has made me an entirely much more emotional person," Turner shared, according to The Wrap.

"The empathy is heightened; the feelings about family are just like overflowing,” she said.

“It’s made me a better actor for becoming, you know, becoming a mother. Because as an actor, you know, the only way to become a really brilliant actor is to experience as much life as possible and to bring those experiences in, and so this is just another little part of life that I’m experiencing that I get to bring in and hopefully it helps my performance one way or another.”

Turner and Jonas, 32, got married in May 2019 after the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas. Two months later, the couple said "I do" again during a fairytale wedding in France, according to People.

They welcomed their daughter in July 2020. "Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are delighted to announce the birth of their baby," reps for the couple said in a statement at the time.

While the parents have kept Willa out of the spotlight, Jonas did open up about the "amazing" time he spent with his daughter during the pandemic. "It's been forced time at home," he told CBS This Morning in a May 2021 interview, per E!Online.

"I'm always on the go, I'm always moving and traveling and touring. And to be in one place for a solid amount of time and having my feet on the ground and be with my family, my immediate family, is time I don't think I'll get back."

Turner, who has also appeared in "X-Men: Apocalypse" and "Dark Phoenix," is reportedly pregnant with her second child, per Page Six. They first sparked rumors of pregnancy when Turner was pictured cradling her belly in Feb.
