At a time when countries are waging information wars behind closed doors, three people come together pretending to be family members for the sake of world peace in "Spy X Family" Episode 1.

The three chosen ones live under the same roof while concealing their true identities. The father, named Loid Forger, is originally a spy; the mother, Yor Forger, is an assassin and the child, Anya Forger, is a telepath.

Loid and Yor are excellent at their jobs and are perfectly hiding their identities. But Anya knows their real identities as she is a telepath.

They join forces to fight evil forces and execute their respective missions.

"At a time when all nations of the world were involved in a fierce war of information happening behind closed doors, Ostania and Westalis had been in a state of cold war against one another for decades," read the official series synopsis of "Spy X Family" anime, according to Crunchyroll.

"The Westalis Intelligence Services' Eastern-Focused Division (WISE) sends their most talented spy, Twilight, on a top-secret mission to investigate the movements of Donovan Desmond, the chairman of Ostania's National Unity Party, who is threatening peace efforts between the two nations. This mission is known as Operation Strix. It consists of putting together a family in one week in order to infiltrate social gatherings organized by the elite school that Desmond's son attends," it continued.

The cast of the anime includes Atsumi Tanezaki as Anya Forger, Takuya Eguchi as Loid Forger, Saori Hayami as Yor Forger, Hiroyuki Yoshino as Franky Franklin, Kazuhiro Yamaji as Henry Henderson and Yuko Kaida as Sylvia Sherwood.

"Spy X Family" anime is based on the original work by Tatsuya Endo, which was first serialized in Shonen Jump+ magazine by Shueisha.

The opening theme of the anime is titled "Mixed Nuts" and is performed by Official HiGE DANdism. The ending theme song, "Kigeki," is by Gen Hoshino.

"Spy X Family" Episode 1 will release this Saturday at 11.30 a.m. ET. Fans in the U.S. can watch the episode online on Crunchyroll. The episode will stream in Japanese with English subtitles.
