It’s just about time to head back to a galaxy far, far away. A release date and new trailer for “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” were released today and we can hardly contain our excitement.

The trailer opens with Rey (Daisey Ridley) gasping for air and trying to get her bearings. A voice over instructs her to remain calm and tap into what she sees. There is no face to link to the voice, but it appears to be Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill).

Rey isn’t the only one featured in the “Last Jedi” trailer. Viewers also catch up with Finn (John Boyega) as he flies through space to an undisclosed location and a shadowy figure with devious plans. Before the sneak peek wraps, the mystery man calls for the end of the Jedis once and for all.

A poster for “The Last Jedi” was also released. The poster features Luke Skywalker on one side, Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) on the other, and Rey casting up her lightsaber to divide the two faces. The poster leaves much of the film’s plot to viewers’ imaginations.

While we can’t gather much from the “Last Jedi” poster, the short trailer is full of “OMG” moments. Here are all the unanswered questions we have based on those bits:

Where Is Rey?

When we last saw her, Rey traveled the universe in search of Luke Skywalker. She found him alone on a cliffside, but that doesn’t appear to be where she is in the “Last Jedi” trailer.

It seems our young heroine will be alone, but guided by the voice featured in the trailer, when we see her again. Where’s she off to? We’ll have to watch and find out.

What Does Her Monologue Mean?

During “The Last Jedi” trailer, Rey’s asked what she sees. She can be heard describing “light, darkness and violence.” We know that there’s got to be a deeper meaning behind what she’s saying, but what is it?

Will Luke Skywalker Help Her?

In “The Force Awakens” we learned that Luke Skywalker had chosen a reclusive lifestyle for himself. Will he leave behind the solitude for the sake of Rey and the entire galaxy? All signs seem to be pointing to yes based on the trailer.

Where Is Finn?

In the “Last Jedi” trailer, Finn appears to be unconscious while traveling in a pod. It’s not clear where he’s headed, but we’re worried about him. Perhaps Rey’s heading out in search of her long lost pal?

What Will Happen When Rey And Kylo Ren Come Face-To-Face Again?

During “The Force Awakens” the pair faced off in an epic lightsaber battle. Rey emerged victorious, though it wasn’t looking good for her at first. The “Last Jedi” trailer suggests the pair will come face-to-face again and it’s going to get ugly.

Who’s Calling For The Destruction Of The Jedi?

In the final moments of the “Last Jedi” trailer, a shadowy figure appears to be looking out over a body of water. He’s talking, though it’s not clear who he’s talking to, about the Jedis. The mysterious man says that he wants to see the Jedis wiped off the map, but why?

“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” hits theaters everywhere December 15, 2017.
