Now that sports gambling is legal in a handful of states, you’re going to find a wider range of Super Bowl odds ahead of the 2018 NFL season. Some teams that are not considered to be strong contenders at some Las Vegas and online sportsbooks are given a good chance to compete for a title elsewhere.

The favorites at New Jersey’s Monmouth Park Sports Book by William Hill are what you’d expect. The New England Patriots, Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Rams are the only teams given better than 10/1 odds to win Super Bowl LIII. The Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers both have 10/1 Super Bowl odds, while the Pittsburgh Steelers come in at 12/1.

The San Francisco 49ers also have 12/1 odds. That’s a stark difference from an online sportsbook like Bovada.lv, which gives Jimmy Garoppolo and Co. 22/1 odds to win the NFL’s championship in 2019. The 49ers are ahead of NFC teams like the Atlanta Falcons (13/1) and New Orleans Saints (15/1), both of whom made last year’s playoffs.

The 49ers went 6-10 and finished in last place in the NFC West in the 2017 season. The New York Giants went 3-13 for a last-place finish in the NFC East, but that hasn’t prevented them from being given decent Super Bowl odds in the state where they play their home games. New York has 22/1 odds at Monmouth Park, putting them ahead of teams like the Dallas Cowboys (25/1), Houston Texans (25/1) and Kansas City Chiefs (30/1).

New York is a 40/1 Super Bowl long shot at Bovada.lv. The website gave the Giants 75/1 Super Bowl odds on May 1.

The Chiefs have won two straight AFC West titles, but their odds to win Super Bowl LIII are only half as good as the team that last won the division 16 years ago. Monmouth Park gives the Oakland Raiders 15/1 Super Bowl odds, compared to the 28/1 odds Oakland has at Bovada.lv. That puts them ahead of AFC teams like the Jacksonville Jaguars (20/1) and Tennessee Titans (35/1), who made the 2018 postseason.

Last week, both the 49ers and Giants had 30/1 Super Bowl odds at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook. Oakland had 20/1 odds.
