  • Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins came together for a virtual reunion Tuesday
  • Supernatural ended its run in November
  • The reunion was part of an initiative to support Stacey Abrams' organization, Fair Rights

"Supernatural" cast members Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins have come together for the first-ever reunion after the series finale last month. And it is for a good cause.

On Nov. 19, the CW network closed the curtains on "Supernatural." The dark fantasy television series, which ran for 15 seasons, concluded main protagonists Dean and Sam Winchesters' stories.

Now, less than a month after its finale, Ackles (Dean Winchester), Padalecki (Sam Winchester) and Collins (Castiel) came together for a virtual reunion Tuesday. They were joined by show creator Eric Kripke and voting rights activist Stacey Abrams. The digital reunion was part of a fundraiser for Abrams' Fair Fight organization, a national voting rights organization in Georgia that promotes fair election across the United States. The organization aims to educate voters and prevent voter suppression. It was founded by Abrams in the year 2018 after she ended her 10-year term in Georgia House of Representatives.

At the virtual reunion, the team answered questions from fans. "Supernatural" merchandise was also auctioned during the event.

"Join me, @JensenAckles, @jarpad & the #SPN cast LIVE as we reminisce & discuss fighting real-world demons with the one & only @staceyabrams ! You can even win set props, guitar lessons from God, & more! Dec. 8 @ 9 PM ET. We'll hit capacity, so sign up now!" Misha Collins had posted on his official Twitter page.

According to Comicbook, Abrams, who also ran for Georgia state governor in 2018, is a big fan of the series. She paid a heartfelt tribute when the series concluded, tweeting that she was "saving up the final episodes for an epic binge watch and delay the inevitable sadness."

To this, Kripke responded by saying, "Hi @staceyabrams . I'm the creator of #Supernatural & we're honored you dig the show. YOU SAVED THE WORLD FOR REAL. If you want ANYTHING #SPN, reach out, its the least we could do. Thanks for all you do, the #SPNFamily is proud to have you!"

"Supernatural" finale was an emotional tribute to the brothers' journey and career as demon fighters. Before reuniting in heaven, the brothers remained separated for a long time after Dean's untimely death.

Following this surprise reunion, fans can expect to watch Ackles reunite with Kripke for Season 3 of "The Boys." Ackles is joining the cast as Soldier Boy.
