Former Swedish model and reality TV star Sofia Hellqvist, 30, is all set to marry Prince Carl Philip, Duke of Värmland and Prince of Sweden, 35, on June 13 in one of the most glamorous weddings planned for this year. The couple’s big day is a hotly anticipated event on the Swedish calendar. There are already rumors about what Sofia will wear for her wedding. She is known to take style risks, according to Hello.

Much like the attention given to Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, following her engagement to Prince William in 2010, royal fans have been keen to see the fashion choices Sofia has made since her intention to wed Prince Carl was announced in October 2014. Many of Sofia's recent sartorial choices have echoed some of Kate’s best fashion moments, from the designers and styles she has chosen, to the similar color palettes.

The British royal had teamed a cream coatdress with a statement black hat for an event in 2011, a look that was echoed by Sofia during her wedding bann service on May 17. Besides, Prince Carl Phillip’s fiancée wore a vibrant blue dress for her engagement photoshoot, a color regularly sported by the Duchess. The wraparound dress with three quarter-length sleeves, which Sofia wore, closely resembled the electric blue Trina dress by Reiss that Kate wore during her first official speech at the Treehouse children’s hospice in 2012.

Several of Sofia’s evening looks have channeled outfits that Kate has previously worn. The black Diane Von Furstenburg gown that Kate sported when she attended “The Royal Variety Show” with Prince William in November 2014 seems to have influenced Sofia, who wore a similar black jewel-encrusted dress to an official dinner at the Royal Palace in Stockholm. For Queen Silvia’s 70th birthday celebration in November 2013, Sofia stepped out in a similar navy gown by Japanese designer Tadashi Shoji, whose creations have been worn by Princess Madeleine, Princess Alexandra of Luxembourg and Middleton.

Royal fashion watchers are now keen to see if any of Sofia’s royal style inspirations will play a role in her wedding gown. Whether she will give a nod to Sweden by donning a gown by a Swedish designer remains to be seen. While Kate chose Cheshire's Sarah Burton for her royal wedding, on June 13 the world will know what Sofia will wear for her wedding. Meanwhile, Buckingham Palace confirmed that Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, will be the only British royals attending the royal wedding in Stockholm.
