The holiday season is continuing to spread joy over on Lifetime, with another new film to add to the It’s A Wonderful Lifetime lineup. This time around, it is “A Sweet Christmas Romance,” starring Adelaide Kane, Loretta Devine and Greyston Holt.

The film marks Kane’s first foray into Christmas movies on Lifetime, though her face may be familiar to some fans since she portrayed not only Cora Hale on “Teen Wolf” previously, but she also starred as Mary Stuart on “Reign.” As for the iconic Devine, she worked with Lifetime on their 2018 film “Jingle Bells” and has an extensive resume of other projects, but fans might remember her from her stint in more recent years as Adele Webber on “Grey’s Anatomy.”

Holt, however, is a Christmas movie pro at this point. While the “The 100” and Chesapeake Shores” actor is also making a debut on Lifetime with this project, he previously worked on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries “The Christmas Secret” in 2014, as well as UpTV’s “A Puppy For Christmas” and “A Very Country Christmas” in 2016 and 2017.

So what will happen when these three get together for their big project? A dash of Christmas magic of course, and naturally, a little bit of romance as well.

“When food stylist Holly (Kane) returns home for Christmas, she learns that Loretta (Devine), the elderly owner of her favorite childhood bakery, is retiring and has started a contest to give the bakery away to whoever can recreate her famous 12 Days of Christmas recipes,” a synopsis for the film reads. “Holly enters, despite not being much of a cook.”

However, the competition will be a lot more difficult than she thinks when she sees the competition—but there may also be a spark or two that teaches both her and her biggest adversary something about holiday romance.

“When a local baker named Bra (Greyston Holt) also enters the contest, the two adversaries end up cooking up something special together for the holidays,” the synopsis states.

Will the pair bake up something special and win the contest, or will they need to do something else to achieve their dreams?

“A Sweet Christmas Romance” airs Sunday at 8 p.m. EST on Lifetime.
