The release of SZA and Justin Timberlake’s new single “The Other Side” was accompanied by a stylishly metallic music video. However, fans may not have realized that SZA teased the project last month.

SZA included photos and clips of her on set in an Instagram post in early January. Images alluding to the visual included one of the “Weekend” singer wearing a shiny purple two-piece set and two of her in a disco-ball-like catsuit. She also included a clip of her dancing, which was filmed from behind a professional camera screen. Other shots showed the singer in the studio and with costume designer June Ambrose.

Ambrose reposted a clip from the video on Tuesday. She captioned the post: “#wowwednesday I had fun on this one!”

“The Other Side” is a part of the soundtrack for the kid’s film “Trolls World Tour.” Timberlake, who plays a troll named Branch in the film, shared a video of him working on the soundtrack in November 2019.

He wrote:

“I brought some friends in for #TROLLSWorldTour, and I’m so proud of the movie... and the music... and all the people who jumped on board. Figuring out how to crack a song with guys like @anderson._paak, @ludwiggoransson and @jamesfauntleroyii is really why I got into this in the first place. Literally nothing better. Wanted to give you guys a glimpse of the whole process before it all comes out, so here you go... I’m excited to say there’s A LOT more where this came from.”

Timberlake shared a quick look behind the scenes of the video just a few hours before it’s Wednesday morning release.

The video has gained over 113,000 views since it’s YouTube premiere. In the music video’s description box, viewers can find a summary of the film.

It reads: “Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake return in Trolls World Tour, an all-star sequel to DreamWorks Animation’s 2016 musical hit. In an adventure that will take them well beyond what they’ve known before, Poppy (Kendrick) and Branch (Timberlake) discover that they are but one of six different Trolls tribes scattered over six different lands and devoted to six different kinds of music: Funk, Country, Techno, Classical, Pop and Rock. Their world is about to get a lot bigger and a whole lot louder.”

Other stars cast for the film include Ozzy Osbourne, Mary J. Blige, James Corden, and Ester Dean. "Trolls World Tour" hits theaters on April 17.
