Obama to visit Intel in Oregon next week

President Barack Obama will make a trip to Oregon at the end next week and will visit an Intel manufacturing plant as well as discuss the company's programs related to science, engineering and math programs, the White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said in a press conference on Friday.

Orexigen cuts 40 pct staff to save cash

Orexigen Therapeutics Inc said it let go of about 40 percent of its workforce to save cash and focus resources on its experimental weight-loss drug. The drugmaker said it expects to take a charge of about $2.6 million on the job cuts, which comes on the heels of the U.S. health regulator denying approval for the drug, Contrave.
