Farrah Abraham’s decision to post school photos of her daughter Sophia wearing what appears to be makeup has upset some “Teen Mom OG” fans. The MTV reality star shared the images of Sophia, 6, on social media Monday, calling her only offspring “beautiful.”

As noted by Starcasm, Sophia appears to be wearing mascara, blush and eyeliner in the professional portraits. Farrah, 24, has yet to respond to fan inquiries about her daughter’s picture day look, but that hasn’t stopped some commenters from slamming the MTV star’s parenting skills.

“Makeup is NOT for little girls,” wrote one fan. “Why the hell would you put that much makeup on a first grader? Teach your daughter that she doesn’t need plastic or makeup,” added another commenter. Several fans said they feared Farrah’s daughter will grow up to have “self-esteem issues."

While a majority of commenters voiced their concerns over Farrah’s speculated actions, others didn’t see an issue with Sophia wearing makeup. “There is nothing wrong with letting children wear makeup for special occasions,” said one fan. “No different than painting their nails. It won’t kill them as long as it’s not every day."

This isn’t the first time Farrah's parenting techniques have come under fire. After revealing to her fans in January 2013 that she waxed her then 4-year-old daughter’s eyebrows, Farrah defended her actions during an appearance on “Bethenny."

“I got a lot of fan mail from girls who were younger who did have unibrows and they only wished that their moms would have helped them,” Farrah said.

When an audience member called Farrah’s actions “crazy,” the “Teen Mom OG” star responded, saying, “It’s not that I’m telling my daughter that she’s not beautiful. And to be honest with you, she was sleeping.”

Watch Farrah talk about grooming Sophia’s eyebrows below:

Farrah first opened up about her decision to groom Sophia's brows in a Sulia blog post, according to Us Weekly. "Sophia was freaking out, so I had to act like it was a cool science project to get the wax off," she recalled. After failing to wax off the desired hairs, the “Teen Mom OG” mom star said she plucked the remaining hairs while her daughter slept. "The next morning I showed her and told her how well she did and she didn't even know. She was more intrigued now to be OK with [maintaining] her non-unibrow. I could tell she was proud."

“Teen Mom OG” has reportedly been renewed for Season 6. MTV has not confirmed the upcoming installment.
