After the long wait of two years, filmmaker Colin Trevorrow has finally revealed the title of the upcoming “Jurassic World” movie and it is quite evident that the third installment will start from where the “Fallen Kingdom” concluded.

The second movie of the highly successful series concluded with dinosaurs getting free from captivity and moving closer to the cities on Earth. It seems Trevorrow has taken special care of that particular fact and named the third movie “Dominion.”

The acclaimed filmmaker tweeted a photo from the first day of the shooting and unveiled that the third movie in the series will be called “Jurassic World: Dominion.”

The film’s lead actor Chris Pratt shared the same photo on Instagram and revealed what the word “dominion” means. The dictionary meaning of the word is “sovereignty or control.” It means the dinosaurs would try to take over the world and rule over humanity.

A few days prior, while making an appearance on the “The Ellen Show, ” the “Onward” star shared that the third “Jurassic World” movie feels like the end. He compared the movie to “Avengers: Endgame,” which marked the end of the storylines for many of the characters before starting a new phase of films with other superheroes.

Laura Dern, Sam Neill, and Jeff Goldblum, who starred in the original “Jurassic Park” movie in 1993, will be reuniting for the upcoming film in their respective roles of Dr. Ellie Sattler, Dr. Alan Grant, and Dr. Ian Malcolm.

Last year, Trevorrow revealed the reason behind the return of all the three original cast members of the “Jurassic Park” franchise. Speaking with Empire, the 43-year-old director revealed that he always wanted to have the three original franchise stars in the new trilogy, which he believes to be a continuation of the original franchise, but he needed to have some logic behind their return.

The previous two films turned out to be a massive success at the box office. “Jurassic World” (2015) accumulated a staggering $1.672 billion at the global box office while its sequel, “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom,” also surpassed the billion mark ($1.309 billion) worldwide.

As of late, the plot has been kept under wraps and Trevorrow did not spill any beans on the storyline.

The cast of “Jurassic World 3” includes Pratt (Owen Grady) and Bryce Dallas Howard (Claire Dearing) in lead roles.
