As Tiger Woods recovers from his back injury, the golfer continues to make news. However, the latest story surrounding the 38-year-old has nothing to do with his play on the course.

According to Us Weekly, Woods’s ex-wife and current girlfriend are close friends. The report states the relationship began because Elin Nordegren knew Lindesy Vonn would be spending a lot of time with her children. Nordegren and Woods have a six-year-old daughter and a five-year-old son.

"After meeting her, she found she actually liked her [Vonn]," a source told Us Weekly, about Nordegren.

The model was married to Woods for six years. The couple tied the knot in October 2004, but their relationship came apart towards the end of 2009, for all of the world to see. Reports of Woods’s infidelity spread, as numerous women came forward, claiming to have had extra-marital affairs with the golfer. Voicemails and text messages between Woods and his mistresses were published in various publications, leading to the couple’s divorce just months later.

Nordegren, though, doesn’t appear to hold any ill will over her ex-husband’s new relationship. Woods announced that he and Vonn were dating March 2013, well after the demise of his marriage. The source tells Us Weekly that Nordegren respects the way Vonn handles her relationship with Woods. The two women reportedly went on a vacation together, along with Woods and the two children.

"You'd think it would be weird, but Elin loves Lindsey and they talk all the time," the source continued. "Elin likes that Lindsey is a strong woman."

Around the same time that Woods and Vonn went public with their relationship, Nordegren reportedly began dating billionaire Chris Cline. According to the New York Post, the two are still seeing each other and starting to become serious.

Nordegren may be dating a billionaire, but she is not wanting for money, following the divorce. She reportedly received $110 million in her settlement with Woods.
