Tim Duncan’s girlfriend had a playful response to “NBA on TNT” basketball analyst Charles Barkley, who recently made disparaging comments about women from San Antonio.

Vanessa Macias, a gorgeous media personality who has dated Duncan since shortly after his highly publicized divorce in 2013, posed for the TNT cameras during Monday night’s playoff game between the San Antonio Spurs and the Oklahoma City Thunder while wearing a “Barkley Don’t Know” T-shirt. Her gesture prompted Barkley to quip that she must not live in San Antonio.

“That woman ain’t from here, they flew her in from Dallas,” Barkley said, drawing laughs from his fellow TNT analysts. Macias took to Twitter on Monday night to respond to Barkley’s comment, stating that she was “Home grown from [San Antonio].”

Macias, 33, is an avid Spurs fan and is frequently spotted sitting courtside at her boyfriend’s games. In addition to being a former contestant on “The Amazing Race,” Duncan’s girlfriend works as a broadcaster. She’s the stadium announcer for the San Antonio Missions minor league baseball team and the San Antonio Scorpians soccer team.

Barkley, 51, drew criticism on May 7 after he poked fun at overweight women during a TNT broadcast, referring to San Antonio as a “gold mine for Weight Watchers.”

“Big ol’ women down there,” Barkley said. “Victoria’s definitely a secret. They can’t wear no Victoria’s Secret down there.”

On May 11, Barkley publicly refused to apologize for his criticism of San Antonio’s women. “If you don’t like me or the show, turn it off. And they want me to apologize. That’s not going to happen. That’s not gonna happen. You all can write letters to your momma, your daddy, your uncle. I’m going to have fun on television. You know that I’m joking around. But if y’all waiting on me to apologize, hell gonna freeze over,” he said.
