There doesn’t seem to be a realistic chance that Tom Brady will sign with the Dallas Cowboys in free agency, but you might not know that by looking at the betting odds. Multiple U.S. sportsbooks give the New England Patriots’ quarterback around a 30/1 chance to join America’s Team for the 2020 NFL season.

FanDuel Sportsbook puts Dallas seventh in the Tom Brady Sweepstakes with +2900 odds to acquire Brady. The Cowboys are eighth at DraftKings Sportsbook with +3300 odds to be Brady’s next team.

At FanDuel, Dallas’ odds to sign Brady are better than the Houston Texans’ odds to win next year’s Super Bowl. DraftKings gives Brady +3300 odds to win the 2020 NFL MVP award.

New England is an odds-on favorite to re-sign Brady. The Las Vegas Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers reportedly plan to pursue the six-time champion. The Tennessee Titans are also viewed by some as a possible landing spot for Brady.

Former Cowboys wide receiver Michael Irvin created headlines two weeks ago when he said "significant people" he had conversations with believed that Dallas might try to sign Brady. Irvin later clarified that his information didn’t come from anyone with the Cowboys.

Dak Prescott will almost certainly be Dallas’ starting quarterback next season. He doesn’t have a contract for 2020, but the Cowboys are expected to use the franchise tag on their signal caller if no long-term deal is agreed upon within the next few weeks.

Prescott is 16 years younger than Brady and coming off a better season than the greatest quarterback of all time. Prescott had more passing yards and touchdowns than Brady to go along with a better passer rating and a higher completion percentage. Brady’s only edge was his eight interceptions compared to Prescott’s 11 picks.

Dallas has the No.1 ranked offense with Prescott under center in 2019.
