Tom Holland has confirmed that “Spider-Man 3” will start production in the coming months.

“Spider-Man” is due to return to the big screen despite Sony and Disney’s conflict earlier that put its future in jeopardy. Holland confirmed that MCU’s “Spider-Man 3” will begin filming in July in an interview when he was asked about a third “Spider-Man” movie.

“Yes is the answer to that question. I’m super happy about it. We will be shooting ‘Spider-Man 3’ in July in Atlanta,” Holland told Inquirer.

Holland has been playing Peter Parker since 2016. He appeared in five MCU films and his version of the popular superhero flick has become a massive fan-favorite. Holland first appeared in “Captain America: Civil War.” He also made two solo Spider-Man adventures.

However, the two studios had trouble negotiating if Holland's character should remain in the mega-franchise. It eventually reached a new deal after more discussions and a drunken phone call with Holland. Disney and Sony agreed to make a third installment of “Spider-Man.” Part of the deal was also for Holland’s character to appear in another MCU film. Holland said that the story is “absolutely insane.”

Aside from confirming that the show will start production in July, Holland said that Zendaya will return and reprise her role as Michelle “MJ” Jones. She has been part of the first two films — “Spider-Man: Homecoming” in 2017 and “Spider-Man: Far From Home” in 2019. However, he added that he doesn’t know how MJ and Parker’s story will go.

“In ‘Spider-Man 3,’ Zendaya will most definitely be in the film. As to the relationship between Peter and MJ, I’m not too sure what it will be,” Holland said.

There were rumors that Zendaya and Holland are dating, but they never confirmed it. However, they have been spotted spending time together.

Zendaya was also linked to her “Euphoria” co-star Jacob Elordi. The pair was seen vacationing together in Greece. However, Elordi denied the rumors calling Zendaya as someone like a sister to her, adding that he feels close to all of his co-stars. Zendaya also squashed the romance rumors by calling Elordi her “best friend.”
