The top after-market Nasdaq gainers Monday were Cirrus Logic Inc, Rudolph Technologies Inc, Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc, Renewable Energy Group Inc and Kona Grill Inc.

The top after-market Nasdaq losers were CafePress Inc, Dendreon Corporation, PMC-Sierra Inc, Seagate Technology PLC and Orexigen Therapeutics Inc.

Gainers

Cirrus Logic Inc (CRUS) shares climbed 19.50 percent to $35.66 in after-hours trading Monday. The company's shares surged after it reported the first quarter earnings that exceeded market expectations. The company announced an EPS of $0.22 which exceeded the analysts' expectation of $0.21. The first quarter revenues stood at $99 million versus the analysts' estimate of $100.94 million. The company gave a revenue forecast of $170-$190 million, above the consensus estimate of $129.7 million for the second quarter.

Shares of Rudolph Technologies Inc (RTEC) rose 15.07 percent in the post-market to close at $9.70. The company reported the second quarter earnings which showed that the company earnings declined 8.8 percent due to a larger income-tax provision, but the results exceeded its own forecast. Revenue jumped 9.3 percent to $56.3 million. On a sequential basis, revenue jumped 23 percent from the first quarter.

Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc (VRTX) shares advanced 6.93 percent to $53.42 in post-market trading. The company's second quarter loss narrowed compared to that in the same period last year. Revenue for the quarter jumped to $418.3 million, but was below the consensus estimate of $472.16 million.

Renewable Energy Group Inc (REGI) shares gained 6.28 percent and reached $5.57 in after-hours trading. The company Monday announced that biodiesel was available via truckload from Renewable Energy Group's new terminal, located in Clovis, New Mexico. The terminal's first truckload of biodiesel was picked up recently by Colorado Petroleum (also known as Arizona Petroleum) for blending at their Tucson, Arizona location.

Kona Grill Inc (KONA) shares surged 5.88 percent to $9.00 in after-hours trading Monday. The company reported results for its second quarter and announced an EPS of $0.20 beating the consensus estimate of $0.15 by $0.05. The company's revenue for the quarter was up 2.0 percent on a year-over-year basis.

Losers

CafePress Inc (PRSS) shares slumped 36.86 percent to $8.65 in post-market trading Monday. The company announced its second quarter results Monday and reported earnings per share of $0.10, meeting the analysts' expectation. The company's revenue for the quarter stood at $47.1 million versus the consensus estimate of $48.97 million and gave an EPS forecast of $0.05-$0.07 for the third quarter, lower than the analysts' expectation of $0.10.

Dendreon Corporation (DNDN) shares plunged 19.42 percent to $4.98 in the post-market. The company reported the second quarter loss per share of 61 cents, worse than the analyst estimate of 59 cent per share. Revenue for the quarter came in at $80 million versus the consensus estimate of $85.8 million. The company said it would cut 600 jobs in a strategic restructuring.

PMC - Sierra Inc (PMCS) shares lost 9.36 percent in after-hours trading to reach $5.42. The company reported $0.09 earnings per share for the quarter, beating the consensus estimate of $0.08 by $0.01. The second quarter profit surged 58 percent because of the recovery of income taxes but revenue and adjusted profits slipped from those in the previous year.

Seagate Technology PLC (STX) shares dropped 7.40 percent to $26.78 in after-hours trading. The company reported EPS of $2.41 for the quarter, missing the consensus estimate of $2.53 by $0.12. The company's quarterly revenue stood at $4.48 billion versus the consensus estimate of $4.56 billion.

Orexigen Therapeutics Inc (OREX) shares declined 4.87 percent to $4.88 in after-hours trading. The company shares have a 52-week low of $1.22 and 52-week high of $7.73 and a market capitalization of $347.70 million.
