The top after-market Nasdaq losers were Audience Inc, Mattress Firm Holding Corp, Accuray Inc, Envivio Inc and Aceto Corp.

Gainers

Smith & Wesson Holding Corporation (SWHC) shares climbed 19.78 percent to $10.78 in after-hours trading Thursday. The shares gained after the company announced that for the second quarter of 2013, it expects net sales from the continuing operations in the range of $130.0 million and $135.0 million and GAAP earnings per diluted share (EPS) from continuing operations of between $0.19 and $0.21. The analysts on an average were expecting the company to report revenue of $119 million for the second quarter of 2013 and revenue of $498.2 million for fiscal 2013.

The shares of Ulta Salon, Cosmetics & Fragrance Inc (ULTA) rose 8.96 percent in post-market to close at $103.80. The company Thursday announced the results for the first quarter of fiscal 2013. The net sales from continuing operations for the first quarter were at $136.0 million, up 48.3 percent from the first quarter last year. The company expects the net sales in the range of $494 million to $503 million and income per diluted share (EPS) to be in the range of $0.54 to $0.56. According analysts' estimates, the company was expected to report revenue of $501 million and an EPS of $0.54 for the third quarter of 2012.

Vical Incorporated (VICL) shares advanced 5.14 percent to $3.89 in post-market trading. The company shares have a 52-week trading range of $2.22 - $4.82 and a market capitalization of $ 318.37 million.

Bazaarvoice (BV) shares gained 4.90 percent and reached $15.85 in after-hours trading. The company reported a loss of 7 cents per share for the quarter, beating the Thomson Reuters' consensus estimate of a loss of 14 cents by $0.07. The company's quarterly revenue was up 61.5 percent on a year-over-year basis.

MAP Pharmaceuticals (MAPP) shares surged 4.47 percent to $15.43 in after-hours trading. The company shares have a 52-week trading range of $11.11 - $17.92 and a market capitalization of 454.15 million.

Losers

Audience Inc (ADNC) shares slumped 53.61 percent to $8.75 in post-market trading Thursday. The company shares declined after it said Thursday that its voice-processor technology might not be used in the next version of Apple Inc.'s (AAPL) iPhone.

Mattress Firm Holding Corp (MFRM) shares plunged 14.05 percent to $27.89 in post-market trading. The company reported $0.30 earnings per share for the quarter, beating the analysts' consensus estimate of $0.28 by $0.02, but forecast its third quarter earnings below analysts' current consensus estimate.

Accuray Inc (ARAY) shares lost 11.55 percent in after-hours trading to reach $5.78. The company reported a loss of 20 cents per share for the quarter, missing the analysts' consensus estimate of a loss of 12 cents by 8 cents.

Envivio Inc (ENVI) shares dropped 9.70 percent to $2.42 in after-hours trading. The company reported the second quarter loss of 13 cents per share, below the analyst estimate of a loss of 11 cents. Revenue for the quarter was down 6.1 percent on an annual basis.

Aceto Corporation (ACET) shares dropped 2.04 percent to $3.85 in after-market trading. The company reported the fourth quarter net income of $3.98 million or $0.15 per share against the analysts' expectation of $0.16 per share for the fourth quarter.
