Dell Facing Challenge from Tablets, Cloud

Dell Inc. (NASDAQ: DELL) has longer-term disadvantages in a tablet and cloud world as Dell is not focused on tablets and is well behind Hewlett-Packard Co. (NYSE: HPQ) in developing a full cloud stack, Jefferies said in a note to clients.

The estimates were noted from RBC analyst Mick Abramsky collected information from 180 Best Buy locations with results showing 84% of 64BG RIM PlayBooks sold were in late April.

Dell Profit Soars 177 pct in Q1

Dell Inc. (DELL), the world's second-largest personal-computer maker, saw first quarter profit climbed 177 per cent to $945m. Non-GAAP earnings were 55 cents a share while revenue eased up 1 percent to $15 billion.
