  • Arsenal is wary of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's dwindling market value
  • Newcastle United has reportedly inquired about Aubemeyang
  • Mikel Arteta has a lot of pressing matters to address in his player rotation

Unless a miracle happens, it appears Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is imminently heading out the Emirates Stadium.

But one thing that has gotten Arsenal worried is the value they would get in any transfer scenario.

The Gunners are aware that the stock of the 32-year-old striker may have plummeted following a series of events. This includes stripping Aubameyang of the captaincy and the falling out between him and the Gunners’ side, the Daily Mail reported.

With European teams reportedly being informed about Aubameyang’s availability, seeing a deal sealed this January is not looking good.

Moreover, there is his huge £350,000 ($471,320)-per-week wage that is standing in the way.

Although he is a proven player, some teams may take into consideration his current woes and struggles.

One team that was allegedly interested in Aubameyang is Newcastle United.

However, the Magpies were allegedly warned by former English Premier League striker Tony Cascarino of taking in the Gabonese national, The Mirror reported.

According to Cascarino, Aubameyang is not the sort of player Newcastle needs to help them out of their current relegation.

This will give Mikel Arteta sleepless nights on how to deal with the Aubameyang issue amid the impending exits of Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah, whose contracts are set to expire by the summer.

With their offensive options dwindling, Arteta is tasked to find a solution to find new blood to replace the two exiting veterans and the grounded Aubameyang.

The names of Dusan Vlahovic and Alexander Isak have been suggested in recent weeks, but nothing has progressed thus far.

Aside from Aubameyang, Lacazette and Nketiah, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Sead Kolasinac are also reportedly set to leave.

But it appears between the two, there is a chance Maitland-Niles could be sticking around.

Arteta and Maitland-Niles reportedly discussed things face-to-face, something that could hold off an impending exit.

The 24-year-old midfielder has been linked to a move to Roma, but the Spanish coach hopes to alter those plans.
