  • Facundo Pellistri may never get a chance to play for Manchester United
  • Pellistri will likely be loaned out again to Club Brugge
  • Pellistri could use his stint with the Belgian team to improve his craft

Last summer, Manchester United was aggressively looking for young blood to fill its right-wing void.

Facundo Pellistri was seen as a logical fit, but the only problem is that the Red Devils also took in Amad Diallo.

To cut a long story short, Manchester United had use for the 19-year-old with the Uruguayan football player hardly seeing action.

Pellistri ended up moving to Spain to join Alaves in La Liga on a loan deal that would last until the end of the current season.

Unless the Red Devils have plans for the Uruguayan teen, it appears he will continue to be loaned out once more next season.

Should that happen, there are teams like Club Brugge, who is interested in taking the Uruguayan in.

According to Voetbal 24, the Belgian squad is keen on tapping the services of Pellistri on a season-long loan deal if the Red Devils still have no place for him.

It is not the first time that Club Brugge has expressed interest in the young player. The team explored possibilities back in January during the summer transfer window before Alaves secured his services.

Unless head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has planned for Pellistri, a loan spell to Club Brugge is likely to go down.

But this may also depend on other teams like Alaves potentially wanting the Uruguayan back for another tour of duty.

There is no question that Pellistri could use the loan spells as a way to further hone his skills. The Belgian league could be a great place for him to do that, considering several players have come out from there before striking it big.

But for Pellistri, no one knows what is going on from his end right now. He was looking forward to playing for the Red Devils, but it appears his expectations have fallen short.

Pellistri saw action for six games with Alaves and has compiled roughly 387 minutes thus far.

“I am coming into a squad full of great players who I will learn from every day. Everyone knows that Manchester United is a club that gives young players an opportunity, and I am ready to work hard every day to earn those chances and prove myself in England,” Pellistri said when he was taken in from Penarol for roughly $11.98 million.
