  • Romelu Lukaku is reportedly moving back to Chelsea for a $135 million bid
  • Inter Milan needs to find a replacement for him quickly
  • Manchester United's Anthony Martial has been pegged as a potential loan target

There are only 23 days left until the end of this year’s summer transfer window, but there are still some big moves set to happen.

James Olley of ESPN wrote that consistent English Premier League title contenders Chelsea are on the verge of bringing back Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku in a deal that’s supposedly worth around €115 million ($135.3 million).

Chelsea has been in search of a striker that will help shore up their dismissible attacking corps.

For Inter Milan, the loss of Lukaku will be of a great deal to them as he was a key part of their run to the top of the Serie A table during the 2020-21 season, where they had a 12-point lead over AC Milan.

Lukaku joined Inter in August 2019 when he signed a five-year contract that’s worth around a club record of €80 million ($94.1 million).

With Inter barely having enough time and cash to find a suitable replacement for the Belgian striker, they have turned their eyes towards Manchester United.

The Old Trafford side has had its most successful transfer window in years as they were able to bring in world-class talent on their attacking and defending sides.

Winger Jadon Sancho finally arrived after nearly two years of courtship with Borussia Dortmund, and Real Madrid continued to build capital as they sold French defender Raphael Varane last July for £41 million ($57 million).

With a wealth of talent at the wings, Manchester United wants to offload some of them and Anthony Martial has been identified as one of them.

The 25-year-old made his way to Old Trafford six years ago and now, Inter is reportedly in the works of making a loan bid for Martial.

However, Manchester United will only be willing to proceed with a 12-month loan deal as long as there’s a requirement to buy after the deal expires.

It’s believed that the club wants around £50 million ($69.3 million) for Martial--around the same amount they paid for him six years ago.

Martial's time with Manchester United has been marred with injury, but the winger has made his return to the club after being injured since March of this year in a 4-0 friendly win over Everton.
