Juventus is looking to leave Manchester United in the race for Rapid Vienna starlet Yusuf Demir--with reports claiming that the Italian powerhouse has extended an offer to the Austrian club.

The 17-year-old has been a revelation for Rapid Vienna in the 2020-21 season, scoring four goals and two assists in 17 appearances. In addition, he was fielded in the starting lineup four times during that span.

According to Tutto Mercato Web’s Marco Conterio, the Turin club is working on a deal to take the exciting midfielder to Italy in a deal worth around €10 million ($12.2 million) including bonuses. The report also claims that talks are at an advanced stage.

An initial three-year deal with an option to extend is being offered to Demir. The versatile Austrian Under-21 national team member is currently on his winter break.

If Juventus lands Demir in this ongoing transfer window, it will be a big blow to Manchester United as well as Real Madrid. Both organizations are eager to recruit the teenage sensation.

The Red Devils were alleged to be in pole position to acquire the services of Demir, with numerous reports suggesting that the Old Trafford-headquartered club had constantly kept in touch with the player's handlers.

Real Madrid, meanwhile, was rumored to be a recent entrant in the race for Demir. But Los Blancos is undeterred in the tug of war for the Austrian prospect as the club sees him as a good investment for his relatively-low transfer fee.
