  • Manchester United is trying its best to sign Eduardo Camavinga
  • Arsenal is unlikely to convince Camavinga to come to the Emirates Stadium
  • Camavinga prefers to stay in France, but a tempting offer may convince him to join the Red Devils

Eduard Camavinga is expected to be a target by several teams this summer, with his contract running out after the coming season.

Arsenal has been mentioned once again as a possible suitor for the 18-year-old football player although another high-profile team appears to be in the mix–Manchester United.

For the Gunners, the need to address their midfield is a must with Granit Xhaka inching closer to a move to Serie A giants AS Roma.

Aside from Xhaka, also leaving are Matteo Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira.

Arsenal is reportedly re-igniting talks with Camavinga according to le10sport.com. However, all this was rebuffed in a report by football.london with a source alleging that the teenage sensation has dismissed such claims.

With the Gunners appearing to be scorned anew, it will be interesting if the Red Devils can do better.

Discussions have allegedly already started. A meeting is set for next week between Camavinga and Manchester United, RMC Sport reported.

It remains to be seen if the Red Devils will be successful in luring Camavinga to Old Trafford.

But considering that the Angolan football player prefers to remain in France, it will take much to get him to sign on the dotted line.

With that said, Manchester United and Arsenal may have to broaden their search for a midfielder this summer.

Jadon Sancho is the most popular name being mentioned right now. The Red Devils need to provide Edinson Cavani some help, and the list also includes other names such as Declan Rice of West Ham.

Cavani allegedly gave the seal of approval to approach Nicolas De La Cruz although there are at least four other teams keeping tabs with the 24-year-old Uruguayan.

De La Cruz is currently playing at Copa America and is touted as a cheaper alternative compared to Camavinga and Rice.

The Gunners have several names in mind to fill in the middle. Among the names mentioned include Yves Bissouma, Ruben Neves and Albert Sambi Lokonga.

Mikel Arteta is looking to give Thomas Partey some help, and one of those names could be perfect for Arsenal.
