President Donald Trump has paid thousands in hairstyling costs, according to a bombshell report released late Sunday by the New York Times. When Trump was the star of his “Apprentice” reality show series, he spent $70,000 to maintain his famous hairdo, which was then written off as expenses.

Nine of Trump’s companies paid at least $95,464 in hairstyling costs for his daughter, Ivanka. These expenses were also written off of his tax bill.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., slammed Republicans over the Trump hairstyle revelations.

“Last year Republicans blasted a firehose of hatred + vitriol my way because I treated myself to a $250 cut & lowlights on my birthday,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted. “Where’s the criticism of their idol spending $70k on hairstyling? Oh, it’s nowhere because they’re spineless, misogynistic hypocrites? Got it.”

Trump has frequently feuded with Ocasio-Cortez. In a controversial tweet last year, Trump told Ocasio-Cortez and three other minority congresswomen, known as “The Squad” to go back where they came from. Ocasio-Cortez was born in the Bronx to a family of Puerto-Rican descent. Ocasio-Cortez has called Trump a “racist” and a “con man.”

The Times report revealed that Trump did not pay federal income tax in 10 out of 15 years, beginning in 2000. In 2016 and 2017, Trump only paid $750 in taxes.

The report is likely to play a major role in tomorrow’s debate between Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden. Trump has called the report “totally made up” and “fake news.”
