Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson did not split because the latter did not help her brother Frankie Grande host “Saturday Night Live,” despite rumors. Gossip Cop debunked these reports after speaking to a source close to the situation.

A day before their split in October, the exes were spotted together at SNL backstage. Naughty Gossip claims the two had a major fight over her actor-dancer brother.

The outlet quoted an insider saying, “Frankie wanted to go with them and meet producers so that he could discuss hosting the show. Ariana didn’t think Pete was being as helpful or as respectful to her brother as she wanted, and this caused the monster fight.”

“Everyone close to Ariana knows that Frankie is her best friend. If he doesn’t like you, you are gone. Frankie is the most powerful man in her world and anyone that dates her, needs to understand that they will never be able to get between this brother and sister duo,” the alleged insider added.

Gossip Cop checked with a source who denied her brother’s role in the split.

Grande and Davidson started dating in May after she split with rapper Mac Miller after dating for two years. The rapper died of an overdose in September and this may have played a role in her split.

“It’s true that Ariana has been struggling a bit with life in general. It was devastating and shocking to her. It’s had a huge, negative impact on her life. It made her rethink many things in her life,” a source told People.

Grande and Davidson got engaged in mid-June and were planning a wedding. However, a source said post Miller’s death, she reassessed her wedding.

“She realized that planning a wedding right now felt very rushed. It’s not what she wants to do right now. She doesn’t want to make any rushed decisions and has decided to take a step back instead,” the source said.

“They’re dealing with things that people wouldn’t have to deal with in a lifetime — an ex-boyfriend reportedly overdosing and having all of this fame and attention. These followers and living their lives on social media … it’s a different world,” a source close to Davidson said.

A source also said Grande “completely broke down after she found out about Mac… She can’t believe he isn’t here anymore. He was such a special person to her. She is very, very sad. … This is a nightmare for her.”

“I adored you from the day I met you when i was nineteen and I always will. I can’t believe you aren’t here anymore. I really can’t wrap my head around it. We talked about this so many times. I’m so mad, I’m so sad I don’t know what to do. You were my dearest friend for so long above anything else. I’m so sorry I couldn’t fix or take your pain away. I really wanted to. The kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved. I hope you’re okay now. Rest,” she wrote after his death.
