"Twilight" movie series actor Kiowa Gordon was arrested in Mesa, a city in Maricopa County in Arizona, on an outstanding warrant for not appearing in the Mesa court after being charged for driving under the influence of drugs. The actor, known for playing the character of Embry Call, a wolf and one of Jacob's best friends, in the "Twilight" series, was later released from a Mariocopa County jail around 9.45 am, according to a report by Arizona Central.

Gordon was arrested by the Tempe police on Monday after routine license-plate check which led to surfacing of the two outstanding warrants from Mesa and Scottsdale city courts.

The first arrest warrant was issued in September last year after Gordon was spotted by police driving his vehicle under the influence of marijuana. In January this year a separate a warrant was issued by Scottsdale Municipal Court for arresting Gordon for reckless driving in north Scottsdale. Marijuana and glass pipes commonly used for smoking marijuana were discovered from Gordon's Nissan Pathfinder after he was asked to pull over by the cops.
