  • Others congratulated Prince Harry and Markle for the cover and praised their "philanthropic works"

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry graced the cover of Time magazine, but several Twitter users disapproved of their picture.

Time magazine shared a snap of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's Time 100 cover on Twitter. However, many were not impressed because they felt that the picture was heavily airbrushed.

"The airbrush is doing some heavy lifting there," one commented.

"The cover looks so fake… oh wait it’s because they are," another wrote.

"Jesus I thought this was a parody account with a clearly photoshopped creepy cover. Then I noticed the blue tick. Wow has @TIME fallen. Hard," a third added.

"Is Harry wearing a rug? Or just overdone ... airbrushing?" a different user asked.

Many also came to the couple's defense. One said that it wasn't heavily airbrushed because Markle's freckles were still visible. Several also praised the cover.

"If you zoom in on the photo, you’ll see all of Meghan’s beautiful freckles. … and their beautiful, benevolent hearts really should be the focus, don’t you think?" a Sussex supporter wrote.

"Absolutely stunned!!! Gorgeous Pictures!!!! I can't turn my eyes away!! Wow!!" a second fan wrote.

"Kudos to Meghan & Harry for using their global platforms to help make the world a better place by uplifting and empowering others through their philanthropic works. The Sussexes are leaders who lead from the front. I can't wait to continue supporting their upcoming endeavors," a third user wrote congratulating the couple.

"Amazing cover! Love all the good work they are doing despite the vicious attacks coming at them by The Firm. Keep up the good work #HarryAndMeghan! Your humanitarian work speaks for itself," another fan added with clapping hands emoji.

Aside from commenting on Prince Harry and Markle's look on the cover, the netizens couldn't agree if the couple deserved to grace the cover. Several questioned why they are on the cover after their "unsubstantiated claims against the royal family." One netizen wrote, "TIME's lost credibility." Another asked about the Sussexes' compassion toward their families and wondered about the projects they accomplished or their influence.

Meanwhile, one Sussex supporter said that those who aren't aware of their good deeds are drawn toward their bias against Prince Harry and Markle. Another urged the critics to mind their own business because the royal couple does not concern them.
