The UFC is set to make its return to the Southeast Asian region on June 12 with UFC 275 being headlined by the title defenses of Glover Teixeira and Valentina Schevchenko in the island city-state of Singapore.

But before fans flock to the Singapore Indoor Stadium for the stellar 13-fight card, arguably the most recognizable mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion in the world announced that it would be having the opening rounds of “Road to UFC” on June 9 and 10.

Participants of the event will be coming from seven countries across Asia as they aspire to reach one of the grandest stages of MMA in the world.

The fighters will be competing in four weight classes, namely the flyweight, bantamweight, featherweight and lightweight divisions.

32 fighters have been announced for the entire mini-tournament, meaning that there are eight fighters in each division.

Combat sports fans are more than welcome to watch the fights as the two-day event will be free of admission and tickets are going to be available on a first-come, first-served basis by registering at the website.

The rules for Road to UFC are extremely simple: the fighters who win their matchup will proceed to the next round and all the way to the finals where the winner of each division will be awarded a UFC contract.

Those who avail of the VIP package for UFC 275 will also receive a reserved seat for both days of the event.

The action-filled event is scheduled to begin at 2:30 PM and end at around 8 PM SGT on both days.
