The UFC is coming to Singapore on June 12 for UFC 275, and the promotion revealed that it will be giving Asia’s top prospects a chance at joining its ranks through the scouting program dubbed "Road to UFC."

Road to UFC is set to take place over the course of two days, June 9 and 10, with fighters from all across Asia competing in a mini-tournament in the following men’s divisions:

  • Flyweight
  • Bantamweight
  • Featherweight
  • Lightweight

Participants are expected to come from nations with rich mixed martial arts (MMA) backgrounds like Japan, Korea, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, India, and those already in the UFC Academy in China.

Eight combatants will compete in each category for the opening round, with the semifinals and finals to be determined at a later date.

The winner of each of the four previously-mentioned weight divisions will be awarded a UFC contract.

All rounds of the tournament, according to a press release sent to the International Business Times, will take place in front of a live audience, with the location set to be at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Each episode of Road to UFC will be airing in Asia at 8 PM SGT (8 AM ET in the U.S.), allowing fight fans across the region and around the world to catch the bouts.

UFC 275 will be headlined by the championship double-header of light heavyweight champion Glover Teixeira defending his belt against Jiri Prochazka and Talia Santos going up against women’s flyweight queen Valentina Shevchenko.

Also on the main card is Marvin Vettori taking on a yet-to-be-named opponent after former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker was forced off the event due to injury.

To kick off the event, Chinese sensation Zhang Weili taking on former UFC women’s strawweight queen Joanna Jedrzejczyk in a rematch of their unforgettable meeting at UFC 248

Three preliminary bouts are scheduled and they are as follows:

  • Brendan Allen versus Jacob Malkoun (Middleweight)
  • Kyung Ho Kang versus Saimon Oliveira (Bantamweight)
  • Silvana Gomez Juarez versus Na Liang (Women’s Strawweight)

UFC 275 will be happening on June 12 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium with the main card set to being at 9 AM ET/6 AM PT.
