KEY POINTS

  • Hollywood star Jared Leto is known to be a big UFC fan
  • He is open to the idea of playing Conor McGregor or Dana White in a movie
  • Leto has been seen at cageside of UFC events on numerous occasions

A Hollywood star is willing to do something incredible to show his deep admiration towards what the UFC has been doing for the sport.

Apart from being one of the most recognizable names in the big screen today, Jared Leto is also an avid UFC fan.

In fact, the “Suicide Squad” star even offered to play the role of either former champion Conor McGregor or UFC boss Dana White if there will be a movie about the promotion.

“Maybe I can play [UFC president] Dana White,” Leto told Extras via Sunday World. “If we do the UFC movie… if I was younger, I’d play Conor [McGregor]. I got the beard. What Conor does and what these guys and gals do is just extraordinary.”

“I’m too old to do Conor probably,” he added. “But you never know. We could maybe use some CGI.”

Leto may be 50 years old now but still looking young and fit from the outside.

Fans have already seen him do fight scenes in some action movies but never MMA in particular.

Hence, it is intriguing to see how things would play out should Leto really portray McGregor on the silver screen.

In an interview with My Mom’s Basement with Robbie Fox's YouTube channel earlier this month, White revealed how big of a UFC fan Leto is.

"Let me tell you what, Jared Leto is the biggest UFC fan,” White revealed. “This dude knows all the ins and outs of the sport, he knows guys that are coming up. All he does is rock climb and watch UFC, [that's] all he does."

"He's actually a really cool dude. You would expect that [he’s weird]. I get it, I totally get it that you would think that, Jared Leto is the furthest thing from a f------ weirdo. He's a normal, cool f------ dude that loves the UFC and loves rock climbing."

Over time, Leto appears to have forged a good relationship with UFC stars, having been in attendance in a number of the organization’s events.

Leto was spotted hanging out with UFC bantamweight Sean O’Malley last year.

Last month, Leto was seen at cageside with ex-lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov at a UFC Fight Night event.
