  • Ronda Rousey is currently on break as she wants to start her own family
  • She is married to UFC fighter Travis Browne
  • Rousey said proving that she’s the greatest of all time is not her priority right now

It’s been more than three years since we’ve seen Ronda Rousey fought in the octagon after she lost to Amanda Nunes via TKO in the first round. Still, she is still remembered for being the most dominant force in the UFC women’s division.

Rousey had a sit-down with Steve-O in the newest episode of her YouTube channel and talked about life after UFC. She opened up about not spending a day without people asking her when she is going back to the octagon and fight. “There’s not a day that goes by people aren’t telling me to fight,” said the 32-year old fighter per a transcript posted by MMAFighting.

Ronda also shared her thoughts of being labeled as the best fighter in history. “I have to try and think of it as, would I rather be the greatest of all time, or have everybody think I’m the greatest of all time? It used to be so important to me to have both,” she said. “But now it’s got to the point where I don’t want to sacrifice myself and my family to prove that anymore to a bunch of people that don’t give a sh-- about me,” Ronda said, before saying that proving that she’s the greatest in the ring isn’t her priority anymore.

“All the people that tell you, ‘Come on, fight again, do this again,’ they would never do that for me.”

She is married to UFC Heavyweight Travis Browne, who last fought in the octagon in July 2017 in a submission loss to Aleksei Oleinik. Nicknamed “Rowdy” after late wrestler Roddy Piper, Ronda credited him for having a new outlook in life. “It was actually my husband that taught me I’m so much more than just a fighter,” she said of her husband.

“I don’t have to fight myself into the ground to prove that I’m the greatest of all time when I already know that I am.”

Rousey signed with WWE in 2018 and made her in-ring debut at Wrestlemania 34 in a mixed tag team match – with Kurt Angle as her partner against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. She is currently on a break since last year’s Wrestlemania as they are planning to start a family with Browne.
