Undefeated boxing champ Demetrius Andrade called out Conor McGregor but not confident that he could KO the UFC star.

WBO Middleweight champ Andrade is set to face Luke Keeler this weekend in Miami. Ahead of the fight, Andrade revealed that McGregor is one of the fighters he is looking forward to after defeating Keeler.

In a recent interview with Elie Seckbach of EsNews, Andrade was asked to name the fighters he would want to fight in his 4-fight contract extension with Matchroom. According to the undefeated champ, McGregor tops his list as well as Floyd Mayweather.

However, Andrade is more serious about McGregor and was even reluctant to say that he would win the fight. When told about how Julio Cezar Chavez Jr. statement saying McGregor could take his paycheck if he wouldn’t be able to KO the UFC star in 8 rounds, Andrade still wouldn’t predict a KO win and even wished Chavez Jr. “good luck” should he ever face McGregor inside the ring.

“I always call out guys but I want Conor McGregor. I want Floyd Mayweather,” Andrade said.

“Conor McGregor, he’s a tough guy. He’s an all-around guy,” Andrade said.

Just over a week ago, another undefeated boxing champ also called out McGregor. But unlike Andrade, lightweight boxing champ and rising star Ryan Garcia said that he would knock McGregor out quick.

In a recent media scrum during a training session, Garcia was asked about a fantasy fight against McGregor. According to the young champ, he would KO the UFC star in one to two rounds and wouldn’t fight the way Mayweather fought him inside the ring.

“I’ll KO Conor, quick. 1st, 2nd round,” Garcia said about fighting McGregor.

“I’m explosive. I wouldn’t wait like Floyd. Floyd was waiting to break him down. I wouldn’t do that. I will just get him out real quick,” Garcia continued.

McGregor successfully bounced back to his winning ways after an impressive comeback win at UFC 246. “The Notorious” pulled up a new technique inside the octagon with his shoulders and finished Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone with a stunning head kick.

After the said win, McGregor quickly became a hot topic in both MMA and boxing especially after insisting that he and Filipino legend Manny Pacquiao will soon face each other inside the ring.

Despite having a 0-1 pro boxing record, the former two-division UFC champ is still confident that he could match fairly against a boxing champ once again.
