France is led by Marie-Laure Delie, a 23-year-old forward. The U.S. is led by gutsy goalkeeper Hope Solo, who came up big in the quarterfinals match against Brazil.

The U.S. defeated Brazil, despite some controversial officiating, off penalty kicks. France also advanced on penalty kicks, when they defeated England in the quarterfinals.

The winner of the match will face the winner of Japan-Sweden, who will play at 2:45 EST. The World Cup Final will be played on Sunday, at 2:45 EST, in Frankfurt.

The U.S. has not won the World Cup since 1999.
