The women's beach volleyball finals are set for Wednesday afternoon and the U.S. is guaranteed to take home the gold at the 2012 Olympics.

April Ross and Jen Kessy will face off against fellow Americans Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh Jennings in London.

The match is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. ET, but won't be shown live on NBC. It will, instead, air in primetime on tape delay. You can still watch the event as it happens, by clicking here and viewing a live stream online.

The duo of May-Treanor and Walsh Jennings is the most successful pairing in the history of the Games. They are the only beach volleyball team to win the gold at two different Olympics, and they're in a good position to finish in first once again.

May-Treanor and Walsh Jennings barely squeezed out a victory against China in the semifinals, but the two are expected to defeat their compatriots. They are -350 favorites to repeat as champions, according to the online betting Web site, Bovada.

While May-Treanor and Walsh Jennings have been dominant over the years, Ross and Kessy are looking to win their first ever medal. The pair has been a surprise at this year's Games, upsetting top-ranked Brazil in the semifinals.

The USA has been dominant since beach volleyball became an Olympic sport in 1996. Another first place finish will give the United States six gold medals combined between the men and women's teams. Brazil is second on the list with two golds all-time.
